NLIR in collaboration with PoliMI and MPD will develop room temperature efficient single photon detectors based on up-conversion scheme. Better characteristics in terms of efficiency, jitter and dark counts are expected compared to the InGaAs SPD. Design and test of the new single-mode upconverter will be carried out by NLIR.
