SQUARE (Silicon Photonics for Quantum Fibre Networks) aims to develop the next generation of quantum devices based on silicon photonics, enabling compact, reliable, and efficient components in order to build fully connected long-reach, high-rate QKD-secured quantum communication networks. Within the project, different partners cooperate to create fully integrated receivers and transmitters, on silicon photonics, both for classical and quantum communication.
